Lucerne to Munich

Going to Europe next May and based on latest itenary will likely be leaving Switzerland from Lucerne and heading to Munich. Any suggestions on the cheapest way to get there? Would love to do a night train but doesn't appear there are any with minimal changes. Tickets on rail europe look to be around $120. Bahn.de wouldn't give fares for some of the trains scheduled.

Any help is appreciated. Wondering if we should just get tickets to German border and then try and get discounted German tickets instead of buying one ticket from Lucerne to Munich?

You can travel by rail from Luzern to Munich during the day the with only one connection in Zurich; travel time a little over 5 hours-last connection at 5pm. Go to the Swiss Rail web site at http://www.sbb.ch/en/

Thanks Michael. I had been to their site some and couldn't seem to get the city pair to work. After some searching and googling I did find the deals section (click and rail i think) that offered 1 week out fares between zurich and munich for pretty cheap (47SF).

Has anyone tried ordering these tickets thru sbb.com online while in Europe and been able to print them out?

This portion of my trip will likely come towards the end so I would not be able to order before leaving for Europe but have to order and do while there at an internet cafe or something. I may just reverse the order of my trip in order to secure these cheap tickets though.
