Lucerne to Mount Titlis

I would like to know what's the train station name for Mount Titlis. I've checked through SBB website, a list of unfamiliar name appears. I going there from Lucerne. Do I have to travel through Engelberg?

Thanks.

Engelberg is the name of the town at the base of the mountain range. Mount Titlis is one of the mountains in that range. You board a train in the main station in Luzerne--it will go through several towns on the outskirts of the city. It will eventually stop and change into a cogwheel train in order to climb up a mountain and into the town of Engelberg. It's really quite an experience. From what I remember, you get off in Engelberg (actually the end of the route) and walk over to the gondola that takes you up to the top of Mount Titlis. That's what I remember. Other people might have some additional info. It's a fun time--enjoy!

I recomend : read about Mount Titlis and Engelberg in the travel guide book "ROUGH GUIDE to SWITZERLAND". The entire experience of going there from Lucerne, including traveling through a valley toward Engelberg, can be enjoyable. And the public can go in the monastery there. If possible, try to stay overnight at Engelberg.
