Four of us will be in Lucerne, Switzerland for a night, possibly longer, in late September. Can anyone recommend a good mid-range hotel?

Bob, I stayed at Hotel Goldener Stern on my last visit to Lucerne, and found the room to be very comfortable and the staff were great. The food in the restaurant is excellent and it's an easy walk to the river, the Chapel Bridge and the rail station (although I took a Taxi to the Hotel when I first arrived with luggage). They've re-designed their website since my last visit, and it doesn't seem to be as "user friendly". I wasn't able to find an English language version, but using Google translate ("translate this page" option), it's quite usable. Happy travels!
