Hello! My husband and I will be in Lucerne this July for two nights and are looking for either a Hostel, Hotel, or Bed and Breakfast for a reasonable price! I would like to stay in the low $100 range per night. We would like a clean, double bed room, preferably with a private bath, but will opt to share to minimize the price.
I would appreciate any information you could give!!There are just too many to choose from and I would love to get a recommendation on one that someone has stayed at and loved!! Thank you so much:)

Layla, This is likely above the price range you wanted, but you might have a look at This Hotel in Lucerne. It's in a good area, and and easy walk to the river and rail station. If you'd prefer a Hostel, one possibility is This Hostel. It's a bit outside the main centre of the city, but they have double rooms listed for ~SFr.100 which is close to the amount you wanted. Having an HI Hostel membership will provide cheaper rates and preferred booking. There may be independent Hostels there also, but I didn't check. Check your local Library for a copy of the Switzerland Guidebook for other suggestions. For travel in July, I'd suggest booking SOON. Happy travels!

Hotel Alpha has double rooms with shared bath for 108 CHF per night. It is a ten-minute walk from the train station in a residential area. Haven't stayed there, but I would consider it if staying in Luzern.
