I did a search & get different views. We will arrive at The Louvre with a Museum pass. Is there a good entrance that ill give us a fast track inside & be close to see the Mona Lisa before the crowds. What wing? Directions Thanks.
Start here. Those 'Visitor Trails' are such a neat idea! The Louvre website probably has the most up-to-date info...but no promises. And, if you've never been to the Louvre, you can't miss all of the signs pointing the way to 'La Gioconda'. They're everywhere!
If you go to the Louvre when it's open late, on Wed or Fri, say at 5:00, it will be a 1000x less crowded. We were there in July a couple times and the room with the Mona Lisa was empty.
We went in the underground entrance next to a shopping mall (carrousel entrance). With the museum pass we just walked to the front of the line and they let us right in. We went on a Friday night and felt getting around was quite manageable. You will get a map that will give directions to the Mona Lisa, and there are plenty of signs. There are probably always lots of people, but we were still able to get to the front after a few minutes. Not sure when the Louvre doesn't have crowds.

An entrance that is void of a long line-up(our experience and a RS recommendation) - facing the pyramid with your back to the Tuileries Garden, go to your left, which is north -under the arches, you'll find the entrance and the escalator down. Hope this helps.
