Hi everyone, my husband & I are going backpacking trough Northern Europe, I have found pretty much B&B in all the places that we are going to...just missing Amsterdam, any suggestion? It would be really appreciated it!

Boogaard's. On a quiet street among the canals SW of train station. Great food, accommodations, and wonderful host. Our friends and we were there separately last summer. We all loved it; wonderful bar nearby with 32 taps and 200 beers. Peter gives great dining suggestions if you need them. Have a great stay.

Mike good to hear you highly recommend Boogards. We are going to stay there next April for 3 nights before doing our Amsterdam to Basel Rhine Cruise.

Boogard's again. Having found it, I will never bother again looking for other accomodation in Amsterdam. Well located, wonderfully friendly, just all around nice.

It just became a little more difficult to get a room at Boogard's, unfortunately. We just were told our reservation for three nights this September has been canceled due to one of the two rooms they rent in the B&B being given to their elderly parents. This leaves the two room apartment on the second floor and then just one room on the third floor left. So now my wife and I are back to searching for a place to stay. I've already emailed the Herengracht 21 B&B but am sure they are already full. EDIT: Just got confirmation from B&B Herengracht 21 and we're going to stay in their Canal Room, can't wait!!
