Thanks for sharing, Jo. The guy who made these videos really loves Bad Wimpfen, it would appear. Makes me realize, yet again, that I have barely even scratched the surface of this country.

Very nice. Thanks, Jo.
I'm in Germany fairly frequently and harbor a fantasy of spending a week hiking from village to village across woods and farmland, staying at little inns and really seeing the place in an unhurried way. It really is a stuningly wonderful country.

I laughed about all the Bad Wimpfen photos too! Must get there soon. Ended up watching all 3 of the series. One is more about architecture, palaces and so on but also says in which state they are in, which I found helpful. The scenery shots of the North Sea, the Spree Wald, the Taunus, Odenwald and the Harz Mountains were lovely too. Other towns near-by that I want to visit would be Gelnhausen, Michelstadt, Marburg, Steinau, and Butzbach. Recently found some info and photos about Erfurt and this looks like an absolute must. Has anyone been there?Stunning church, a bridge covered with houses, and just a beautiful city. They have a very comprehensive program for handi-capped individuals. Very impressed with this. Tours for deaf, visually impaired, wheel-chairs, bikes with wheel chairs attached for the tour guide to ride, special buses, etc. Amazing.

Thanks, Jo! That was a series (I kept clicking on the next to get some more.) Not been to Erfurt, but have studied it in Lutheran History, so it's on my list.

Yes, Erfurt is a beautiful city. Loved the "flower boats" in the river. It's been several years since we were there, but we really enjoyed it. Stayed at Haus zur Pfauen.

Lots of these locations look great.... I will try and check some of them out when I travel to Germany in a few weeks...too many places, too little time (lots of them look like amazing photo ops)
