We are traveling to Croatia early September, 3 adults and 2 children. Found plenty of places to stay but not enough information about the areas around these places. i.e. family friendly, local restaurants, beaches etc... Have read several post about dirty accommodations. So if anyone has a personal recommendation of a great spot and a great stay we would appreciate very much. Our ultimate would be a small house with great view not far from water, nice beach, even small beach is OK. A house with some local character would be nice. We do need access to laundry (kids.). Did this last fall. Personally I would not stay in Split. I know Rick likes it, but once I got outside of the tourists area it's a BIG city.
We stayed in Trogir. Lots of apartments to rent there. Great little town.
Remember the beaches are "rocks"!
