LONG TIME PLANNING / 30 DAYS AWAY

Plans started 18 months ago and now only 30 days from departure. Lots has happened since the start of planning. I cancelled last yr due to the $ value, then lost my job in Nov and I almost decided not to go again. Positive comments on this board said don't cancel. Thanks to those with such positive advice as I found a job p/t in Feb which went f/t 4 weeks later. New employer did not give me a problem with taking 19 days for this trip so it has all worked out for me. I leave early Sept for Paris to Normandy. Waited many yrs for this trip. After Normandy, I meet a R/S GAS tour and will finish with a couple extra days on my own. Imagine some of you may remember my post asking for advice in December. Good things do happen and I appreciate all those who put out positive advice. Getting more and more excited each day now, but think I have all the bases covered. For everyone posting now for next year, have fun with your planning, as that keeps you excited and helps the time pass much faster. Thanks again to all the regulars on this site. You are much appreciated.

Tony,

Yes, I do remember your previous post. Glad to hear that everything has worked out so well for you.

Hope you enjoy Normandy, and I know you'll have fun on the RS G/A/S tour. When you get back, let us know what the highlight of the tour was.

Happy travels!

I too remember your post and glad to hear the good news about job and trip. The GAS tour is great and my friend says the Normandy trip was fantastic. We are both headed for Ireland in 33 days!

Give us a follow up when you return. Happy travels.
