The area you describe is quite large. It can be difficult and a long drive getting from the Dordogne to the Alps. Even if your place is right in the middle. My favorite gite for the Dordogne is just outside the small town of Lalinde. Its run by the Gaudins and here is the email address. This place is beautiful and my friends and I have rented this place once a year for close to ten years. The prices are for a week!
