Long term apartment rental in Seville

My husband and I had a wonderful trip to Spain and Portugal several months ago - thanks due in part to the wonderful help here! We loved Seville most of all. Our lodging was a restored convent in OldTown, right on one of the Kissing lanes. Just a magical area, magical town. We loved it so much that in fact we are considering going back and staying in Seville for a few months! The hubby and I can both telecommute for work so we just need reliable internet access in our apartment to work. We were thinking a trip of about 5 months so that we don't hit 6, which would be be problematic for our US citizenship. I've been researching websites that show furnished apartments for rent. Most only list weekly rentals which would be outrageously priced for our stay. The only one I've found is http://www.enalquiler.com All monthly rentals, I can drill down and select Seville and even the neighborhood we want - Old Town. Much more reasonable rental rates of around 500 euros a month. Anyone know of other sites I should check? I wanted to know if any seasoned travelers or current EU residents had any advice? Any agencies or contacts known that work with placing business travelers in the Seville area? Our requirements are not much - Old town area of Seville, 2 bedrooms (size not important), internet access or ability to set this up, rental period of about 5 months. We would love sunny places with hopefully at least a tiny balcony/terrace, but that's not required. I speak conversational Spanish and once I get there, immersion will speed that up :) But contacts/agencies that have someone who speaks English as well would help with nailing down important details. We are not stuck to any time period, are pretty flexible since it's just the two of us. We went over during March and people said the weather would be iffy but we were honestly fine with it. Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated! -Corey

Sorry, I cannot help with the accommodation, except to suggest negotiation with holiday rental owners, given that you want months I am sure many would discount. 'We were thinking a trip of about 5 months so that we don't hit 6, which would be be problematic for our US citizenship.' - I am not sure what you mean here, but Schengen permits 90 days in 180, unless you are going to apply for a Spanish visa.

This company deals with Andalucia www.idealista.com" <[email protected] I know they sell places, maybe they deal with rentals too. Also: www.sevilla5.com/apartments/long.html
Looks like they do longer rentals. The usual tenancy agreement in Spain is 11 months. If you enroll in a Spanish language course, that might help you get a visa to stay there for the time you require (I don't know that for sure, it's just a suggestion). Good luck!
