London to Brussels to Normandy

We are spending 4 days in London then taking a train to Brussels for 2 days then want to travel to Normandy for a day and a half then back to London to fly home. Is there a simple way to get to Normandy from Brussels via train or buscoach?

"Normandy" is a region about the size of Connecticut, so you probably need to specify where you want to visit and what you want to do there. Probably the easiest way to get from Brussels to the Normandy region is to take Thalys to Paris, and catch a local train from there.

My husband wants to visit the Omaha Beach where the attacks took place. Thanks for you help.

We spent 4 days in Bayeux, Normandy, taking Battlebus Tours of the WWII sights and then took train to Paris Gare St-Lazare, changed stations, then high speed Thalys train from Gare du Nord to Brussels. You could do the reverse. It's pretty simple. Only a day and a half in Normandy will perhaps be disappointing to you...I recommend more time there.

I would add to the last post that if you want to visit the D Day beaches, you'll need either a car or book a tour. The beaches are spread out over a large area with little access to public transportation. I don't know much about the bus tours, but plenty of others on this site can answer your questions.

Thank you all for the great responses about Normandy. Does anyone have a bus tour they recommend in Normandy if you spend at least 2 days there?

Battlebus tours are the absolute best. I would spend a bit more time there then in Brussels. We did the 2 day American Experience tour, this was from 0800 to 1700 both days. This is such a meaningful tour, you will never regret it.
