London hotels

Hi - Looking for a decent hotel, not TOO expensive, in good location for tourist sites. Anyone have personal experience with these: Luna & Simone; 51 Kensington Court, Ridgemount, or Darlington Hyde Park? Open to other suggestions. Thanks. Going in late June - 5 people.

Did you look at Belgravia B&B? close to Victoria Station in a convenient location. They have some connecting double rooms, and also suites (with kitchen I think) in another building. Check it out on Tripadvisor.

Of the hotels you list, I have stayed at Luna & Simone and the Ridgemount. I liked Luna & Simone; it was clean and comfortable. I prefer the location as well, but that is a matter of personal preference. I found the Ridgemount to be perhaps a bit rundown, but not terrible. I recall the beds being uncomfortable, but again, that's a preference and may strike others differently. You may get more responses to your question if you post it in the "To the North" section.

Julia: It's been several years, so my recommendation on these comes with the caveat that my experience at both is a tad dated. Still, I would use tripadvisor for the latest reviews on these two: Cherry Court Hotel (Victoria station area) and Blades Hotel (Belgravia area). At the time, they were fine...not sure now...might be worth a quick check.

We like the Victoria Station area just for convenience of transportation. The Lime Tree is terrific but more expensive. The Winchester hotel a couple of blocks away is more reasonable with a good English breakfast.

If you are flying British Air, check their companion deals. The Rembrandt in Knightsbridge is wonderful and with the discount, reasonable.
