We will be traveling by car to Loire Valley and then on to Provence and Cote D'Azur. What is the best way to get there? Any suggestions for scenic trip? Thanks

If you are driving and have several days, plan a road trip with the help of the Michelin guides, which are really made for just this sort of thing. If you'd rather spend your time on the South of France than on the road, return your rental car in Amboise and take the super fast train to Avignon (via Paris, unfortunately, but still faster than driving) and rent a second car there.

For a map, directions and a plan for a scenic route, you can use viamichelin.com. Just select the choice for most scenic instead of fastest.
