Loire/Dordogne inJune or September?

Looking to book the Rick Steve's 13 Day Loire to The South of France tour. Which would be better? June or September? I don't mind heat and am thinking that June will have more green fields and flowers, but maybe rain? And September will be dry fields but lots of ripe produce? Any thoughts? Thanks!

I recently returned from just such a trip. Definitely don't go in July like I did. If it's very early June, I'd go then. If not, go in September when the crowds will be a lot smaller. You'll always find good ripe produce because the street markets get lots of it form Spain and other warm places.
