Any good/bad experience with this agency? Rick has recommended in the past. The paperwork,fees, deposits are daunting, contract in French, all rights seem to favor the landlord - no reductions if repairs are needed during tenancy, to name one. Is this the French getting back at us for Euro-Disney - or have you had good experience with Lodgis?

Jim. No experience with this agency, but we love vacationinparis.com. All in English, paid for in dollars, very easy , very clean, modern apartments. If you like the 7th arron. and some do not, the apartments owned by the Relais Bosquet are very nice. especially the one on Rue Cler.

I've had very good experiences renting from www.vrbo.com. -- there are many owners who are US based. But there definitely is some paperwork, and sometimes deposits/sometimes not. Shop around here or on other sites to find deals you are comfortable with. Perhaps Rick's rental recommendations are not quite as up-to-date as possible.
