We'll be mostly in France & Germany April 19 - May 9. We've now reserved budget B&Bs for just over half our nites: in Bacharach & Cochem, Germany, Paris suburb (3 nites), Amboise in Loire Valley & Alsace & Switzerland(2 nites each). But we're not getting much if any response to brief emails written in my limited French for 1 or 2 nites in these areas: Puy de Dome, Le Puy-en-velay or Chamonix-Annecy areas of France - nor Bouillon, Belgium area. Normally we travel Europe with few reservations - we just look for for chambre, pension or zimmer signs in evening - usually in small towns. But taking granddaughter this time & prefer to reserve more. Perhaps reservations aren't needed in those places in spring? Or are we asking to early? Or is response lacking since most of latter are for one nite? Will also be a nite or two in Triberg, Germany area & Turin, Italy area & Chambery, Fr area.
Any thots or suggestions greatly appreciated! Jerry Florence USA
