Lodging on the Alsatian wine route

Margo, would you consider staying in Colmar? It's an incredibly beautiful town, and IMHO the best "home base" for that area. You might have a look at * www.rapp-hotel.com/en_accueil.html * (cut & paste the link inside the asterisks) for one Hotel suggestion. I was there few months ago, and would highly recommend it. I too stayed in Colmar and found it to be a very nice home base. I stayed at Rick's favorite spot Maison Martin Jund. The wine is fantastic, and with enough of it you forget how run down that place is. I would stay there again.
