Lodging in Sevilla, Spain over Christmas

Staying in Sevilla over Christmas with my 23 year old son, and would like to stay in the Santa Cruz neighborhood. Budget to moderate price range if possible. I have been doing a lot of research but still unsure of where to stay. Interested in a historical feel, and up-beat for the 23 year old at the same time. Thanks very much for your help !

We stayed in Hotel Amadeus over New Years last year. Technically I think it is just outside of the Santa Cruz neighborhood but not sure of the exact boundaries of the SC neighborhood. But it was convenient to everything.

The hotel Amadeus is not available---and the other hotel posted is a bit above what we would like to pay, but BOTH great suggestions-please keep them coming !!

We loved Sevilla! Stayed at Casa 1800 which is probably more than you want to spend. But just behind it, on a charming square, is Hosteria del Laurel, where we had breakfast one morning. Breakfast was good and the hotel Looked very nice, lots of authentic charm, and it is well-priced. The location is perfect, in Barrio Santa Cruz but not deep in it, closer to the Alcazar and Cathedral. I would stay there if we return. Also check out Apartamentos Murillo.

Mary, Hosteria del Laurel should be very reasonable. I checked on venere.com for two nights around Christmas and it was around $90 per night for a double room. Perhaps my recommendation was confusing as I also mentioned Casa1800, which is indeed pricy. Have a look at Hosteria del Laurel. It gets great reviews on Tripadvisor and we thought the little square where it sits was charming.

Hi, i would recomend Hosteria del laurel. We stayed there in March of this year and indeed it is very authentic and the area is fantastic, Again as previous posters have said there is good feedback on the hotel on tripadvisor.
Enjoy Seville.
