My wife and I are looking for lodging for 2 nights Mon & Tues. April 20 - 21. We will be visiting our son at the University of Salamanca.
We hope for a quiet, comfortable and reasonably priced place to stay.
Price range??? 50 to 60E's. We are seeking a place with a private bath.
Has anyone heard anything about "The Le Petit Hotel" it is 2 blocks east of Gran Via?

Last summer my daughter and our former exchange student from Madrid traveled to Salamanca. They both absolutley loved staying right on the Plaza Mayor in the Hostel Los Angeles. The super friendly staff even showed them the room Rick "Esteves" stays in! Doubles with a bath cost 35-55 Euros (you can request one of the 4 rooms overlooking the square, which are at the higher end pricewise).

We enjoyed Hostal Plaza Mayor--right off of the Plaza and near the University. It was a nice hotel and a great location: http://www.hostalplazamayor.es/reservas.asp
