We are planning short trip to Chamonix, France in early October and would like a B&B over a chain. Do you have any recommendations of a place to stay that is charming not a chain?

I've been to Chamonix twice (only in the summer) and stayed at Hotel de l'Arve both time. Very clean two star hotel by the river. http://www.hotelarve-chamonix.com/en/index.html
