Help for a one night long layover in Brussels...hotels that were clean and pleasant? Favorite things to do in Brussels? Weather in early October?

I lived in Brussels for a semester in college. My favorite thing to do is walk the Galleries St. Hubert and eat dinner in the Avenue of the Butchers, where I must eat chocolate mousse! To walk off the calories, I like to go to the Cinquantenaire. It's beautiful at night. Weather in October is pretty chilly and damp. The year I lived there was uncommonly gray--only 2 sunny days the entire month. Have fun. I'm going back at the beginning of September and can't wait!
