Lisbon with kids for Thanksgiving

We (couple in our 30s with a 2 1/2 yr old) and our friends (also in their 30s with a 1 1/2 yr old) are planning to spend 5 days in Lisbon for Thanksgiving. Any particular tips for that time of the year or for the kids? We've travelled to London, Paris and Barcelona with our son before, but never to Lisbon. Also, is the trip to the Algarve doable or is it too complicated with the kids and the short time frame?

Thanks!

I'm not quite sure what you are looking for but, Thanksgiving is an U.S. holiday and I would not think this would interupt any travel plans you might have since it is not part of the Portugese culture. And I wouldn't think you would find any type of celebration going on unless there is an expatriated American community that does something but I doubt it would be publisized.

Sorry for not being clearer - I'm not looking to celebrate Tgiving in Portugal, that's just the time we're planning to be there. Is the weather OK at that time? Are a lot of events/sights seasonal, so that they're only open during the summer? I saw something about the tourist tram in the old quarter of Lisbon, does that kind of thing run all year?

Thanks!
