Lisbon to Seville with stop in Tavira

We are planning to take the bus from Lisbon to Seville. It appears that we will need to switch buses somewhere in the Algarve as there is no direct bus between the cities (if this is not true, please let me know as I'm going by what I've found on the EVA website). We decided to make the best of it an stop in Tavira for lunch and a little sight seeing.

Does anyone know if the Tavira bus station has lockers to store our luggage for a few hours? If not the bus station, perhaps there is an accommodating hotel?

The Spanish bus company, Alsa, offers a non-stop run on that route. Go to http://www.alsa.es/portal/site/Alsa. Ignore that first page and click on "Routes & Schedules." There you will find one bus/day from Lisbon to Seville...it takes a little over 8 hours. I would suggest you purchase tickets as soon as you arrive in Lisbon to assure a seat (these can't be purchased on-line.)

Thanks Norm. Unfortunately the only bus ALSA offers leaves to late for us (8:45 pm at night).

Check again closer to your date of travel. You may find the Alsa run that leaves at 9:45 am and arrives at 5:45 p.m. is etended past its current schedule.
