Can anyone tell me if Alfama in Lisbon is a safe area to stay? Thanks, all!!

Per my friend from Lisbon, she said it is safe but it's generally an older crowd. She did say that there are better areas to stay such as Bairro Alto. She is actually here in Houston right now if you want to send me a PM and maybe you can talk to her.
