Lisbon in 4 days

I'm going to be in Lisbon, for 4 days and I would like to rent a bike for that time. I cycle everyday in Japan to go to work and so when I visit other countries I always rent a bike to get around. Does anyone know of a place to rent a bike? What would you suggest that I visit in Lisbon in 4 days? Any suggestions are highly appreciated!

We spent three days in Lisbon last summer and loved it. I would recommend seeing the Gulbenkian Museum which was awesome. You might want to get some information from a cycling group in Lisbon as the streets are quite narrow and hilly and it was a challenge getting around safely just being a pedestrian.

Agree with the previous posters, and you might also want to visit the Torre de Belem and the Padrao dos Descobrimentos. These are both on the Rio Tejo. Don't know about biking but if it's possible it would be pretty views. Also Mosteiro dos Jeronimos and the Coach Museum which are in the same general area but are on the opposite side of the highway. Check out Rick's book or search on the internet for more info on these sites.

I’ve had contacted bikeiberia (www.bikeiberia.com) previously to my arrival in Lisbon and proceeded to reserve a bike with them. They are really professional, when I got there, my bike was ready to go and they gave me helpful tips to get around by bike. The bikes are good and the staff very friendly.
Since 2 of my days were spent in meetings, I spent the other two days trying to see as much as I could. The bike came in handy because it took me where I wanted to go and fast. One of my days was spent near the river, I biked on the recently built bike path that goes to Belem and visited the Monument to the Discoveries, the Tower and the Monastery which are impressive buildings, amazingly beautiful, a must see if you go to Lisbon! Afterwards I went to Park das Naçoes, this new, modern part of the city where I went to the Oceanarium, it’s really magnificent how all of those creatures live together in the aquarium. I recommend it to everyone that is in Lisbon, especially if traveling with children. I saw quite a few in there and you should have seen the look on their faces, all smiles.
The other day was spent biking in the city taking an overall look of it, also stopped at a few local shops to get some souvenirs for my family. I will definitely be back with more days as it’s impossible to see everything in 2 days!
As of biking in Lisbon it was challenging sometimes but not impossible and with gears makes it a lot easier! Choosing a bike to get around was really the best option for me as I value the freedom a bike gives me to move around, next time in Lisbon I’ll surely be contacting bikeiberia again!
