We will be traveling from Budapest to Prague and want to stop at Cesky Krumlov along the way.
Any opinions on stopping for a night in Linz?

Linz is attractive, has a pleasant riverfront park, and has a real Austrian working town feel to it. However, I would agree that on a short trip, spend the extra time in Vienna or another spot.

I’m all for spending more time in Vienna, but have you considered Melk as an overnight stop? Incredible Baroque abbey!
