Has anyone driven from the Linderhof Palace over to the Neuschwanstein castle? Is it an easy drive in May? Any words of advice? How long did it take? thanks kindly.
Hi Laurie, The drive should take about 45 minutes. Very easy and scenic drive along the Plansee (picturesque lake). After passing the Plansee, head towards Fuessen on the B179 to the B17. Paul
Paul's right on the timing, and I agree that the drive is definitely worth it. I drove it the other direction in December, and it was spectacular. Linderhof is going to be beautiful in May, so have fun!
Many on here seem to have made that drive. Yes. it is an easy drive. When you check it on a map, you will see two routes to get there. The southern route takes you along the edge of the mountains and past a pretty lake, but I prefer the northern route, which takes you to Oberammergau and Wieskirche, which is one of the most beautiful churches in Germany.
