Les Florets

We are debating on staying at Les Florets for a few nights. Can you share your hotel experiences at Les Florets? Are there rooms with view of the Dentelles or landscape that you would recommend requesting? Were any of the rooms loud because of the restaurant or setting up for breakfast in the morning? Overall, what are the rooms like?

Les Florets is in Gigondas in the southern Rhône wine region of France.

I would stay at Les Florets so I could enjoy all the good wine served at dinner without the worry of driving afterward. The restaurant is superb. The hotel is isolated above Gigondas along a winding road; the gendarmerie are unforgiving about dwi. Perhaps check Trip Advisor for reviews of the hotel. We will stay there if luck gets us back to the Dentelles.

We stayed at Les Florets two years ago and enjoyed it. The meals were really good-dinner was five courses with one course being cheese. The room was quiet with a small balcony that was accessed from the end of the hall on second floor. There was a pool but it was unheated and too cool to use in late May when we were there. There is a beautiful terrace filled with flowering plants. The hotel sits on a hill with rugged/forested surroundings. There is plenty of parking but you can easily walk to Gigondas village. If I remember correctly there were rooms in a separate building near the pool but we stayed in the main building. We would stay there again for sure.

We had Sunday lunch at Les Floret in May 2013; quite good and reasonably priced for the quality of the food and wine; Didn't spend the night but it looks like a really nice place. And yes it is back a winding country road above Gigondas, but well worth the trip.
