I do not see it in Rick's book and am wondering about this collection of museums next to the Louvre. Would appreciate all info including how much time to allot.
Thanks,
Cecily

Les Arts Decoratif and La mode du textile are two of my favorite museums in Paris that go beyond the typical art world scene.
Both are small but have frequent new exhibits. In la mode there is a new exhibit of Valentino haute couture that began last month. FABULOUS.
They share a common website - -

Click the British Flag for English.
There are often events happening - check the calendar.
Typically there is minimal crowd. Time will depend on your interests really. I have been in small exhibits that I spend 3 hours viewing.
Also - off the beat the National Museum of Porcelain at Parc de Sevres. Really fun and different.
There is also Musée Galliera de la Mode de La Ville de Paris...10 ave Pierre 1er de Serbie...metro Iéna, not far from metro Alma-Marceau...lovely building, lovely garden....1,000 of outfits for fashion history fans
Jona,
We all LOVED this museum. Our group consisted of ages 2, 5, 7, 10, 22, and near-40, and everyone enjoyed it. Thank you for your post about it.
