Leather jacket in Paris???

My husband is not a sport coat kind of guy. He is more of a Hawaiian shirt guy. He has some nice plan silk travel shirts he is taking when we go to Paris. He has a beautiful lightweight black lambskin jacket he wants to take. Is this practical & could it be used to "dress up"?

Yes.

No one cares how he looks. Unless you're planning on going to a Michelin-starred restaurant. Then he'll need a coat and tie. Not lambskin.

Otherwise, Paris does not have a dress code.

I didn't really mean was it practical for the look, I meant was it practical to take to Europe. We are only taking 1 carry on bag each & I wasn't sure how it would pack.

If you can wear it on the plane and while traveling between hotels then you won't have to worry about how it packs -- just wear it.

When are you going? You might not even want or need a jacket if it's summer.

And if you're going in May or June, take into account that rainstorms are possible.

Yes the black leather jacket will be perfect for Paris. Wear it on plane. Bring an umbrella for the rain.

I don't think it would look bad but it's heavy and will it be okay in the rain? I don't wear my leather jacket in the rain, so I don't bring it on trips.

As said before, if you take it, wear it rather than pack it.

I did a visual mens travel pack list. You can go to this address and check it out. It may not be exactly you, but it might give you some ideas.

The jacket is very light and we are in Paris the first week of June. My husband doesn't seem to be worried about the rain & he said he is taking the jacket. I appreciate all the feedback.
