when does the le passport pass become active? can i buy it ahead of time or does it get activated as soon as i buy it? i know the museum pass is activated the first time you use it but what about le passport?

Are you talking about the pass for Versailles only--or for something else?

in rick steve's book on Paris, he calls it the "le passport" pass.you buy it in Paris and it pays for the train ride, entry to Versailles, and everything in Versailles including the audioguides,gardens, and Marie Antionette's domain.
