Would love to go to Provence at the end of September but I get headaches from lavender. Does anyone know when the flowers are in bloom and /or die ? Lin

Lavender in Provence at "average" elevations tends to bloom in late June and July. To be safe (since you want to avoid it), say late June to early August. It blooms later at higher elevations but you have to seek it out at the higher elevations and thus it can be avoided there.
