Lauterbrunnen to Pilatus to Zurich

Hi,

Is this doable and if so, how via train?
Starting in Lauterbrunnen early to Interlaken to reach Mt. Pilatus. Store luggage somehere in route and then to Lucerne to Zurich. I realize it's a long and full day. IF not possible with luggage, then how long will it take from Lauterbrunnen to Lucerne and then Pilatus trip. I don't have the time to stop for the night in Lucerne unfortunately.

Thanks

Head over to the Swiss Rail(www.sbb.ch/en) site and plug in Lauterbrunnen to Pilatus (3 hour journey). Then plug in Pilatus to Zurich (2 hour journey). Make sure to enter a date for the summer like June 1, since some of the rail lines in this region shut down for maintenance this time of year. Most all train stations in Switzerland have lockers, you can also send your bags ahead to Zurich at the Lauterbrunnen Station.

Wow that's an excellent service. Do you think it's feasible to send my luggage off to Zurich and then leave Lauterbrunnen, see Pilatus, got to Lucern and then get to Zurich. My thought was to spend the following day in Konstanz.

It's hard to say with the luggage forwarding. If you drop-off early enough in the morning(around 7am or 8am), it should arrive in Zurich later the same day; but I'm not sure what the cut-off time is. In theory it is feasible. The personnel at the station can give you a definite answer. For an extra fee you can even have your luggage delivered direct to your hotel.
