Can anyone give me an idea of what temperatures I can expect for the 2nd and 3rd weeks in Sept. while staying in Lauterbrunnen? I've only been there in June. Thanks. Nancy
Hi Nancy,
We had similar questions for our trip, and someone on this board recommended this site:

You input the location and the dates you're interested in, and it spits back the average temperatures for those exact days since 2001.
No personal experience with Lauterbrunnen in Sept., but that site can get you started.
CLICK HERE to see some historical averages. We were also there in June.
Nancy, weatherwise as well as for other reasons, those weeks in September are a great time to be in the Berner-Oberland. Enjoy!
Nancy we we're there at that time last year, we had temps from 14 to 20 degree celsius. Just do layers, i had a north face soft shell jacket, and if was good enough at the jungfrau and it is a bit water resistant. We thought the weather was perfect for hiking, have fun!
nancy,
I was in that area (Gimmelwald, Murren) in October on my last trip and the temperatures were fantastic during the day (sunny weather). The nights were a bit chilly though (typical Fall temperatures).
Even at the top of the Schilthorn at 10K feet, I was quite comfortable without a coat. If the weather is sunny, I suspect it will be quite comfortable (although as Lauterbrunnen is on the valley "floor" and somewhat shaded, it may be a bit cooler than the areas that get more sun).
Happy travels!
