We are going to need to do laundry in Brussels on either a Sat night or fairly early on Sun morning before we get on the train to Paris. The one facility Rick mentions in the guidebook is nowhere near our hotel which is the Welcome Hotel near the St Catherine's Metro station. Any suggestions on laundromats with good hours in the area?
It will be a small miracle if any reader can answer your question.
I always ask at the desk where the nearest (fill in the blank ) is.
The clerk will know here to eat, wash clothes, buy groceries or medications. Don't be bashful.
Carl's right. Many places don't have a wide selection of self-service laundries. I expect Brussels will have more than one and your hotel will know where it is.
If you're shy about asking your hotel (who might suggest they do it for you), ask at the TI.
Most cities do have a wide selection of self-service laundries. The problem is, they are concentrated where the locals live, which is typically not near the tourist center- where most of the hotels are.
