Provence marks the half way point of our trip.
Can I expect to find one fairly easily?

We did laundry in a laundromat in Arles in '07. I believe it was in the RS Provence book. If not, your hotel can tell you where the nearest one is. They are relatively user friendly, but they are all different. Instructions were on the wall with pictures, and soap, softener, non-bleach brightener were all available, as were dryers.
Try to bring plenty of small change and bills with you--our only challenge was not having enough coins.
