Latin District hotels in Paris

A family of four adults would like to acquire accommodations for three or four nights in the Latin Arr. not necessarily luxurious bur comfortably close to metro and the atmosphere of the District. Thanks a lot

I would find one using TripAdvisor.com and RS Paris guide.

Everything's close to the metro. Try the Cluny-Sorbonne, it's about what you're looking for. If that doesn't work out try any one of the ones along the west side of the university -- they're all about the same. There's also a batch between the Sorbonne and the river -- I doubt you could go wrong with any of them. Use venere.com to find them and sort them out.

I can never say enough about the Hotel des Grand Ecoles in the Latin Quarter. It's about 2 blocks from the metro, near Place Contrascarpe with a lot of restaurants and at the top of Rue Moufetard which is a delightful walk with great food shops at the bottom. It's very comfortable and at night, very quiet-we could hardly tell that we were in a large city. Book early!

I stayed at Hotel des Grand Ecoles for a month and liked it well enough, though it's not close enough to the river for me. I've stayed in many hotels in the Latin Quarter, but I still think TripAdvisor.com and RS Paris guide is the best way to find a hotel you would like. Also, study a map of Paris to see where things are and what area appeals to you.

Hotel Eugenie,, I have stayed there and will again. Absolutely central, rooms were clean,, I prefer the room with shower only ( bathroom is slightly bigger and the shower is a proper glass stall as opposed to the shower/bath combos.
