Hi All, Thinking of spending our last night in Germany in Landshut. We have an afternoon flight home fom Munich the next day. They will have a Christmas Market at this time. Has anyone stayed in Landshut? Any advice or info, especially on places to stay? Thank you in advance. Paul

We spent two nights in Landshut last December. We stayed at the Hotel Cristallo about midway between the train station and the town center...http://www.hotel-cristallo.de/....It is a basic hotel with a good breakfast and fairly large, remodeled rooms. I would stay there again. The Landshut Christmas Mkt was small but the town very nice. We enjoyed the walk up to the castle. Good meal at Augustiner an der St. Martins Kirche. Thanks Gary. Beautiful photo's! If we stay in Landshut, we'll most likely arrive there around 1 or 2pm. Looks like a nice old town to walk around. My wife loves pike, so the restaurant looks like a good bet. Paul

Hi Brad and James, We stayed in Erding on our last night in 2006. Very nice old town. Thought we'd try something different, yet close to the airport. We did Freising a few years ago also. Paul

Wherever you choose, I hope that you have a good time of it. We have also stopped in Freising, which we enjoyed. Perhaps Erding sometime in the future.
