I was planning to travel with friends, but as it turns out I will be a single woman. I will land at CDG and wonder where would be the best hotel to stay in near rail and near sites for the first 2 nights. Anyone have ideas?

Sorry for your changes. Need info to give good answer. When? What does "best" mean to you? What budget are you working within? Which rail do you want to stay near? What is your next destination? Have you been to Paris previously? Which sights would you like to be able to see?

Single traveler? How about Hotel Esmeralda in the Latin Qtr - reasonably affordable, incredibly central, quirky - yet Parisian....... Not luxurious by any stretch of the imagination, but great location and acceptable prices.....
