landing at CDG and connecting to TGV

I will be taking the TGV out of CDG in October. I would like to make reservations for the train and would like to minimize the time between landing and getting on the train but obviously I need to leave enough time to go through customs and then to get to the train terminal. Anyone have any idea how much time I should allow? I will be landing at about 7:15 AM.

i don't think there is a TGV in CDG. TGVs are in gare du lyon or gard du nord depending on whether you're going south or north of france.

Emma, as I recall, there's a TGV station at CDG. It's located in the centre of Terminal 2. You may find it helpful to have a look at the website * parisbytrain.com * (cut & paste the link inside the asterisks), as that will detail the options, including purchase of tickets. Happy travels!

The TGV most certainly goes to CDG. It drops you one escalator ride below the terminals (I took it to the airport). Even though we had no idea where we were going it was easy. I don't know how much time to leave for customs, however.

It depends greatly on where you're going (how many trains per day). I'd say about 3 hours - it takes a while to actually get to the station. At that time of day, you might want some breakfast and/or some coffee, too...And if you're actually buying or picking up the tickets there, the line at the CDG TGV station is horrendous...Where are you going and when, exactly?

There is a TGV station at CDG. The trains are not as frequent as from Parisian stations. As has been said - your destination will probably dictate how long you will have - check the timetables and buy your tickets on-line at http://www.voyages-sncf.com/
