In mid-April I plan to spend a week in the Lake Lugano area. I'm looking to stay at one of the following locations: Porlezza, San Mamete, Castagnola, or Lugano. I plan to hike much of the time. Larry

I'm particularly interested in the Lugano area. I know about San Salvatore but not the particulars about accessing the trail. And, I'd appreciate learning about other good hiking. Larry

Larry, Your question wasn't entirely clear? I'm assuming you want to know which of the four locations would be most suitable for hiking? I can only comment on Lugano, and feel it would be a good "home base" for hiking and exploring that area. Happy travels!
