Day 22 fly home Any help or suggestions appreciated!
My suggestion is Varrena at Lake Como, but prior to leaving Milan, climb the Duomo and go see "The Last Supper" prior to going to Lake Como. I would suggest you not miss Murren while in Berner Oberland. You'll love Luzern and Mt. pilatus; your five year old will not be bored, and they WILL remember this trip.
Well, sounds a bit ambitious to me with a 5 yr. old (having travelled with such ages myself many times), but I also understand your drive to see it all! :)
I think you could tighten it up and have a better experience by traveling all the way to Wengen or Murren on Day 5. About 6 hrs. total on the trains, etc. and totally fun for a kid. There is no point in staying in Interlaken-it's boring, and most kids find boat tours boring after about 10 min. Go straight up into the mountains! You can spend Days 5-7 there and do wonderful day trips to the Jungfraujoch, hiking with the cows, riding cable cars, and eating lots of cheese--all great kid pleasers! Just a reminder that jet lag hits kids hard--yours will probably wake up at 4 am for the first 3 days. This might work to your advantage in taking a very early train to Lake Como on Day 3 and getting the most out of that day. Be sure to pack plenty of snacks and toys for early morning wake ups.
thanks for the suggetions i am all ears for any suggestions
I am truly mind boggled, too much moving about, luggage hauling almost every day, even without a child I would find it stressful to move that much. I would trim itinerary down to minimum of three night stays in most places( and a three night visit is only two full days in a place remember) .
BTW you haven't allowed any recovery time for travel fatique from flight over, nor for adjusting to jet lag.
