We are going to be in Lucerne for 4 nights Oct. 7-11. After that we want to spend 4 more nights in Switzerland. Have looked at the area of Lac Neuchatel, Gruyeres, Murten area. COuld anyone tell us if this is a nice area to explore... we have been to the Jungfrau area already..... . I don't see many comments regarding this area on the forums. If we would do the Lac Neuchatel area what would be the best place to stay ?

Gruyeres is a nice place to explore with its cheese factories and the HR Giger Museum. Also nearby in Broc is the Callier-Nestle chocolate factory. Haven't been to Neuchatel.

Ditto on the Greyere castle and town. Very nice area. The clock industry is in Neuchatel and Jura area - perhaps a watch/clock factory tour might be of interest too. Check the "www.myswiterland.com" offical tourism web site for that area.
