Has anyone stayed at La Regence Etoile Paris before? Looks to be very nice, near Arc de Triomphe area. We are looking to book June 1-7, 2014 to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary next year. The other hotel I was looking at is the Hotel Eugenie. Thanks for any input you might have. When I went to Paris in April with my daughter's French class, we stay in Montparnasse at Campanile Maine Montparnasse. It was ok but I'd like to be closer to either the Arc or the Latin Q. Thanks!

I haven't stayed at either but the Hotel Eugenie is often recommended by another regular poster who's opinion I respect and it's in the 5th (Latin Quarter) which is an area I like way more than the Arc/Champs Elysee area. Much more fun imo, it's close to the river which I like, is more in the heart of Paris and central to more places you'll want to go and has way more budget friendly cafes and restaurants. Plus, the Luxembourg Gardens are in the 5th.. one of my all time favorite places in Paris... so for me, I'd pick Hotel Eugenie.
