On another forum it was noted that La Grande Arch is closed with no known reopen date? Has anyone been in Paris lately and can confirm this? I really wanted to see that when we get to Paris in 2 weeks.

I don't know about it being closed, but if it's important to you, you can still go there and see it. It's at La Defense and the area is easily accessible by RER and Metro and has a modern neighborhood around it. If it's closed, you just won't be able to take the elevator to the roof observation deck.
