Kleine Scheidegg from Murren

We are a family of 4 and planning on stayin either in Gimmwald or Murren for several days and want to hike in the area. Does anyone know about a reasonable way to get up to Kleine Scheidegg? We will not have a train pass but our daughters are under 12

Before you purchase your first Swiss Train Ticket of any kind buy a Junior Card for each of your kids. The Junior Card is about 20CHF each and will allow your kids to travel everywhere in Switzerland with you for free. If you buy a ticket to Kleine Scheidegg BOTH of your kids go with you for free...also up to Mürren, Gimmelwald, Lauterbrunnen, Wengen - even Jungfrau! Take advantage of this great product because it will save you lots of money.

I'm not sure what is "reasonable"do you mean, without paying for train and lift tickets? You get down to the valley and take the train up the other side. A nice variation is to get off the train in Wengen and take the lift to Mannlichen. The walk from there to Kleine Sheidegg is both easy and spectacular.
