I have been searching for award tickets for a trip to Austria/Germany for June. I have only been successful in finding tickets departing May 23rd and returning June 6th. Is this too early in the season to enjoy hiking and cable/lifts in the Kitzbuhel area? I may be successful in changing the tickets later but don't want to book these dates if it is too early to go. I would sure appreciate any advice from anyone with experience this time of year. Thanks so much!

I haven't been to Kitzbuhel in June, but I have been to other Alpine areas at that time (Zermatt last year and Lech am Arlberg the year prior). There were only a few patches of snow here and there. High above Zermatt, there were still some heavy patches of snow along the hiking trails, but it wasn't impassible. So, although hiking may not be ideal, at least it should be feasible.
