Can anyone offer some kid-friendly suggestions at these places? Or verify that any of the RS recommendations are kid-friendly? We're traveling with a 3yo and a 18 month old. Thanks in advance!

For Salzburg, try the Institute San Sebastian. They are like a hostel except very clean and quiet. They were helpful when we traveled with three children ranging from 8 to 16.

Our daughter was born in Germany. In our travels with her up to 2.5 years old, we invariably found places that were friendly towards kids. Our kids are now and in college and we visited Salzburg this year. We stayed that the Hotel Bergland. Nice folks and a playground about 1/2 block from the hotel:
It is in a quiet residential area about 10 minutes walk from the older part of town.
