Keukenhof in the Netherlands

Has anyone been to Keukenhof very recently? I was there in late March and most flowers were not out yet (I knew they wouldn't be though). I'd like to go back again but am now wondering if it's too late. I have an opportunity to go back on 9 May.

Alternately, does anyone know of a web cam that shows Keukenhof or the surrounding bulb fields? I've looked on-line but so far haven't found anything.

Nancie - I was there over the weekend. It was my first time so i have no frame of comparison. I found everything to be beyond expectation. The fields showed some signs of wear and tear but the gardens looked great.

We were there 29 April 2008 and it was sensational, with millions of tulips and hyacinths et al. that looked to be peak to me. But for what it's worth, this year my peonies here in Ohio seem to be about 3 weeks ahead of their normal flowering times, so one never knows. Can tripadvisor.com help with current info on Keukenhof? Good luck.

I haven't been to gardens in three weeks, but here is some information that might help.

The bulb fields are still very colorful from the trains, but when you get up close you can see they are past their prime.

I don't know of a webcams, but here is a link to a flickr group (http://www.flickr.com/groups/keukenhof/pool/). You can check when the pictures were taken and see for yourself. When you click on a picture the date taken is shown in the picture information on the lower right of the screen.
